Payoneer (Master card) can be use in Cambodia

Today I want to introduce a solution to those who wish to receive money from the internet.

It is not always easy to get a fair service for internet users in Cambodia.

We are facing some restrictions to online services, especially related to online payment systems.

For example at the time of writing this article, Paypal and Google music are not yet available in Cambodia.

There are many much more online services that we can’t access from Cambodia. But I will not waste my time in complaining. I know your time is valuable.

Let’s go straight to the topic.

As a best solution for these days, you can sign up an account at Payoneer.

Make sure you select the right type of account. I think they have two types: one is for issuing the payment (mostly for affiliate or service owners), then another one is for receiving payment.

After you sign up, they will ask for your home address to send you the card. It’s a master card. You can use it to withdraw the money from any ATM machine. But there’s a fee for each transaction. I heard also you can withdraw the money at the bank. I will ask some friends to comment on this.

As you may know, mail system in Cambodia doesn’t work well. Even if you put a correct address with the correct postal code, your chance to get mail delivered is very small. Some friends recommend to add the phone number to the address.

Or you can go to ask directly at the post office.

There’s also another good option. You can rent a post box which will cost you a little money to pay for yearly fee. You might have more chance to get the mail in your post box.

Or another secure solution is to choose premium mail system such as Fedex or DHL. It will cost you around $60 for the delivery fee. This is the most secured way. But before that you need to have money in your account before you can choose this option.

I not yet receive my card. It is supposed to arrive since April 2014. I went to ask at post office. The post man said they will call me when my card arrive. I never receive any call. But I can wait since I don’t have any money to withdraw.

Once you have a Payoneer account, they will provide you a virtual bank account in US that will allow you to receive any online payment. Once it is transferred to your Payoneer account, you can withdraw the money from Cambodia.

This solution might be the only one but so far it is the popular methods used by a lot of Cambodian Internet Marketers. Please share other system or method that you are using. It will help to improve our online business.
